Chad Ogden, the visionary founder of QFloors, and the late Michael Faust were jointly honored with the Tom Jennings Champion Award by the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) during TISE 2024. The award acknowledges individuals who exemplify WFCA's core values and commitment to excellence.
Ogden is no stranger to the flooring industry - spending his early years in his father's flooring stores, then later establishing QFloors’ flooring business management software in 1999. Renowned for his ethical leadership and hands-on approach, Ogden has significantly influenced the industry through QFloors. The software company has received industry-wide praise such as the 2013 "Best of Surfaces" award and other prestigious achievements.
Simultaneously, Michael Faust, posthumously celebrated, founded Carpeting by Mike and dedicated over 45 years to the industry, leaving a profound legacy of dedication, community support, and global industry impact. Typhannie Harker, Faust's daughter, continues his legacy at Carpeting by Mike, emphasizing kindness and care in business.
During the awards ceremony, Scott Humphrey (President, WFCA) touched on the enduring impact that both recipients have made on the floor covering retail experience, celebrating their outstanding contributions and dedication to industry ideals.
The ceremony was especially meaningful because Michael Faust had also been a lifelong customer of Ogden’s - purchasing QFloors in 2002 for his business. The two remained friends until Faust’s passing in 2018.

When my brother and I got into this business many years ago, we felt like the industry was underserved; the technology was lagging behind and we wanted to help the industry.
