QFloors was founded 25 years ago by Chad Ogden and has since grown into one of the leading independent technology and software firms in the flooring industry. The idea for QFloors came to Chad in 1999, while attending the Surfaces trade show. He sketched the concept for a user-friendly, Windows-based business management system tailored for flooring stores.
Today, QFloors serves over 1,300 flooring businesses and employs 45 people, many of whom are part of the Ogden family. This family-oriented culture has been central to the company's success. Over the years, several family members have joined the company, including Chad's brother Trent, daughter Aerin Ogden Packard, sister Licia Bailey, cousin Colten Gines, and wife Chris Ogden.
Though the Ogdens didn’t set out to create a family business, many extended family members have become part of the team. Working together as a family has its challenges, such as maintaining a balance between personal and professional life. However, the Ogdens emphasize trust, shared values, and mutual respect to keep the family business strong.
QFloors’ commitment to family extends beyond its internal culture — it’s also reflected in its customer base. Many of QFloors' clients are family-owned businesses, creating a deep, shared connection with the company.
Looking forward, QFloors is focused on sustainable growth and succession planning, all while staying true to its core values of supporting both customers and employees. To celebrate its silver anniversary, QFloors will host a special user conference in 2025.
